Another month, another fresh crop of beauty launches at Sephora. We don’t have to tell you to get your credit cards ready—you’re right there with us. And while there are probably hundreds of intriguing offerings to look into, we decided to pare back the choices a bit. Instead of having to click and scroll through every page, we did it for you. Behold: These are the coolest, most effective, and most anticipated products launching at Sephora in August. We’d tell you to enjoy, but we know you’re practically halfway through the page by now.
Beautyblender’s first-ever foundation, Bounce, is a full-coverage formula (which isn’t my usual go-to, but just wait) that feels light, whipped, and pretty much like bare skin once it’s applied. It blends like a dream—it’s so silky, melts into your skin once you hit it with a damp Beautyblender, and offers a velvet-matte finish (healthy, dewy, but not shiny). I applied it without primer and didn’t dust powder over top, and it stayed perfectly on my face all day. I haven’t stopped wearing it since.
FYI: These makeup products stay on through summer’s hottest days.
Looking for a La Mer–infused sheet mask? Look no further. The brand has launched a super-charged mask (with a full ounce of the Treatment Lotion) to deliver deep hydration, soothe redness, and improve your skin’s texture. But it doesn’t end there: The treatment will visibly plump and energize your skin, offering an incredible, almost instant glow all over. And even the sheet itself is special, as it has a micro-composition of pure jet-spun fibers to gently hug your skin so it won’t slip off.
This is a great option is you’re hoping to curb your daily coffee intake. Matcha does contain caffeine, yes, but it also offers L-theanine, a relaxing amino acid to provide a more balanced energy throughout your body. It’s meant to make you feel energetic, calm, and focused all at the same time.
For a smooth, buildable, ultra-black formula, look no further than Hourglass’s newest mascara launch. Once applied, it creates a bold (but practically weightless) lash courtesy of its 4DAmplifier, which combines two brushes in one.
I’ve read a lot about how consuming collagen orally doesn’t really do much for your skin, so it’s no secret I was skeptical when I tried Vital Proteins Collagen Creamer. But then our editorial director, Faith, told me the story of its conception: The founder of the company is a runner and found he developed a ton of joint and muscle pain as a result. So much so, he felt he needed to do some research. After mixing a bit of collagen into his coffee each morning, his pain completely went away—which, as a runner, must have been veritably life-changing. So even though there aren’t conclusive studies to show what it will do for your skin, this product is good for your body, and that matters to me too.
Formulated without parabens, sulfates, or phthalates, Jouer’s new balm moisturizes, hydrates, and softly scents your lips. It contains vitamin E, shea butter, jojoba oil, as well as “maxi-lip,” an ingredient to help naturally plump your lips. It works as a nighttime lip treatment to boot.
I’m not a huge fan of liquid lipsticks—I love a matte look, but the drying, caking, and flaking associated with most formulas is kind of a bummer. Which is why I was really intrigued by Huda Beauty’s newest launch, a demi-matte. The formula glides on smooth and slick with no pulling, tugging, or bleeding. It dries down to a matte, sure, but it’s creamier and far more hydrating than the rest. It’s also formulated with menthol to offer a cooling effect as you apply, which both feels good and plumps your lips at the same time.
Try this breathable, full-coverage foundation for a non-cakey matte finish that feels flexible and lightweight all at the same time. Plus, it comes in 40 different shades to offer a better, more diverse color-match selection.
This palette includes gold, bronze, and copper shades for your eyes and cheeks to create summery smoky eyes, highlighted cheeks, and contoured edges for a natural-looking glow.
Masking with Olaplex has become a lifestyle for me, courtesy of my often bleached, dry, easily damaged hair. I apply it once a week, like clockwork, to reverse the damage and nourish my breakable strands. Now—as if to answer my prayers—the brand has launched a shampoo and conditioner. It repairs damage, softens, adds shine, and all that other good stuff (while protecting my color) daily instead of just once every seven days. I’m here for it.
Bobbi Brown’s newest primer extends your foundation’s wear, absorbs oil, blurs pores, and helps balance your skin’s moisture level. It’s pretty spectacular.
From one of our favorite all-natural brands, Rahua’s newest launch had a lot to live up to. Thankfully, it did just that. This blend of plant and flower oils deeply penetrates into each hair strand to heal and strengthen, prevent split ends, and smooth flyaways.
When you put your finger to this formula, it feels weightless, almost like a powder but a bit moister. I dabbed it onto my lips and it went on like a dream. The formula genuinely feels light as air—like you’re wearing nothing at all—and hugs every contour of your lips. It ends up looking kind of like a stain but still pigmented and even. It’s perfect. My favorite shade is Frequency, a true red shade that can go on light or full-throttle.
This buildable, blendable, high-coverage concealer comes complete with a bouncy, tug-free applicator, clean ingredients, and instant coverage. It’s enriched with 100% pure argan oil for skin-nourishing ingredients like vitamin E and essential fatty acids, as well as blueberry extract, raspberry seed oil, and elderberry flower for brightening and de-puffing.
Vitruvi’s stone diffuser now comes in a neutral, calming blush-pink shade. It uses ultrasonic technology to diffuse essential oils without heating them and can fill up to a 550-square-foot space with a subtle blend of scents.
