Bruno Fernandes says Marcus Rashford surprised him with just how good he was when he joined Manchester United.

Fernandes joined the Red Devils on deadline day in the January transfer window, and has been instrumental in the club turning their season around.

Rashford, 22, too has enjoyed a stellar campaign, and Fernandes has been impressed by the way in which the young England international is developing at Old Trafford.

Ahead of Manchester United’s Premier League clash with Crystal Palace, Fernandes was asked to assemble his “perfect player” and selected Rashford’s ‘pace’, indicating just how highly he rates the forward.

Bruno Fernandes says Marcus Rashford surprised him

“I will choose Rashford because I think what Rashford has is pace, amazing pace, but with amazing quality,” said Fernandes on BT Sport.

“It’s difficult sometimes going at that velocity to have the quality to do the right things, you know. To choose the right time to shoot, to pass, to skill.
