Bruno Fernandes has shown his appreciation to some of his Man Utd teammates for helping him settle in by treating them to a slap-up dinner.

The Portuguese midfielder took compatriot Diogo Dalot and Spanish duo Juan Mata and David de Gea out for a meal on Saturday at local Manchester restaurant Tapeo & Wine.

Mata is a shareholder of the eatery, but that didn’t stop Fernandes picking up the bill.

De Gea posted a picture of the quartet at the venue on Instagram , captioned: “Welcome @brunofernandes.10. Thanks for the dinner.”

United are not in action until Monday night, but face a huge clash in the race for the top four against Chelsea .

Fernandes took some of his new teammates out to dinner as a thank you

Fernandes will be looking to build on his United debut, and Red Devils’ full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka feels his new teammate has adjusted quickly to life at Old Trafford.

Wan-Bissaka is a fairly new arrival himself, and believes Fernandes’ smooth start is thanks largely to the Spanish contingent.

“I think he has settled in right,” Wan-Bissaka told the official United website.

“He’s got a few of the Spanish players looking after him and we’re just looking forward to what he brings to the team.”
