Strongman Eddie Hall has told how a ‘crazy man’ wandered into the back garden of his huge new mansion – before putting up his fists and threatening to fight him.

The 32-year-old, from Clayton, revealed he was relaxing in the hot tub at his home when he became aware of an intruder.

After confronting him, he was then challenged to a boxing match.

Eddie – who won the World’s Strongest Man title in Botswana in 2017 – retold the story as he showed his YouTube subscribers around his new palatial house which is undergoing a multi-million pound revamp.

Eddie Hall was confronted in his home

He has already installed electric gates, a spiked fence and security cameras to deter trespassers getting on his property.

The dad-of-two – who is known as ‘The Beast’ – said: “In my old property I had a lot of problems with people coming on to my property and knocking on the door at stupid hours asking for photographs and pictures.

“I’ve had it where people have climbed over the fence and asked for pictures and autographs. As innocent as that might sound it’s quite worrying.

Eddie Hall was the World’s Strong Man in 2017

“Since I’ve lived here, I was in my hot tub and someone just wandered in my back garden and literally offered me a fight. He put his fists up and was like ‘let’s do some boxing’. He was some crazy old man.

“Being who I am does draw wackos so the security has been a number one feature for me.

“There are quite thick bushes either side of the property but it only takes one hole in the bush for someone to get through and do whatever nasty people do.”

Eddie is currently training for a Las Vegas boxing showdown with rival Hafthor Bjornsson.
