Juventus are reportedly planning an audacious bid to hijack Neymar’s move to Barcelona .
The Brazilian forward looks poised for a return to his old club after telling PSG he wants to leave before the September 2 transfer deadline.
However with the clubs yet to agree on a deal for the 27-year-old, AS report that Juve are preparing to swoop in with a mammoth player-plus-cash offer.
And not just any player either – as Juve are willing to involve Paulo Dybala in a part-exchange deal.
The report adds that the Italian giants have already opened talks with PSG over a potential switch, but also face competition from Real Madrid .
Juve are said to have offered “Dybala and a massive amount of money” with the club’s sporting director Fabio Paratici central to discussions.
Dybala was close to leaving the Old Lady earlier this month following interest from Man Utd and Tottenham , but neither side was able to agree terms with the Argentine.
One stumbling block in Juventus ‘ ambitious move though would be the need to offload some of their current players in order to raise funds and to aid the compliance of Financial Fair Play rules.
The Serie A club have already spent over £150 million this summer, and a move for Neymar would severely add to that figure.
As such Juve are hopeful of selling Mario Mandzukic, Blaise Matuidi and Daniele Rugani before the end of the window to help bankroll a deal for Neymar.
It is thought the Brazilian would prefer to go back to Barca, but the clubs are still some way off agreeing a deal.
Previous negotiations between Barca and PSG had considered using Philippe Coutinho as a makeweight in the move, but he has since joined Bayern Munich.
Juve’s intention to match Neymar’s wages at PSG is also thought to be an enticing factor for the forward should a move to Barca not come to fruition.
Meanwhile Real Madrid have not made their interest formal at this stage as AS report that the demands of PSG sporting director Leonardo are too high.
