Liverpool and Manchester United are among a host of European clubs keeping close tabs on Rayan Cherki.
Lyon wonderkid Cherki has burst onto the scene after a series of eye-catching performances for Lyon II – which led to him making his Ligue 1 and Champions League debuts.
The 16-year-old has caught the attention of the Reds, United, Manchester City and Real Madrid .
Cherki signed his first professional contract in July which is due to keep him at the club until 2022.
But according to 90min, Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas will consider cashing in on Cherki in January as he knows he is fighting a losing battle holding on to the talent.
Aulas is known for being a tricky customer when it comes to selling players, most notably Liverpool’s failed swoop for Nabil Fekir in 2018, which will mean he will hold out until he has the right price.
Striker Cherki has scored four goals in three games in the UEFA Youth League this season, and has made two appearances for Lyon’s senior team in Ligue 1.
Last week he was given his first taste of Champions League football when he came on as a 75th minute substitute to replace Max Cornet against Zenit St Petersburg.
Cherki was born in France, and has already played for the national side’s under 16 team, but could also be called up by Algeria due to his ancestry.
Meanwhile, Arsenal and Man Utd both sent scouts to watch CSKA Sofia defender Valentin Antov, according to reports in Bulgaria .
The 19-year-old has attracted interest from a number of European clubs, with West Ham also believed to be monitoring his progress.
Antov has become a regular in the Sofia side, making seven appearances so far this season and providing one assist.
He is a centre-back by trade, but can also operate in front of the back four as a defensive midfielder.
Representatives of the interested Premier League clubs have flown to Bulgaria to watch him in action against Ludogorets on Sunday.
