Paul Pogba’s brother has given yet another hint that the wantaway star could quit Manchester United – after admitting that Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane clearly “likes” him.
Pogba made no secret of his desire to seek pastures new ahead of this season and was strongly linked with a move to the Spanish giants in the summer.
However United stood firm over their valuation of the French World Cup winner and the midfielder, who returned to United in a club-record £89million move in 2016, was forced to remain in Manchester.
But the rumours haven’t disappeared and the former Juventus star’s brother Mathias, who plies his trade for Manchego in the Spanish fourth-tier, has fuelled the speculation during an interview on Radio MARCA .
He said: “He (Zidane) wanted players, he didn’t get them, but I have no doubt that he’s going to do the work he needs to do in order to get the team back to the level he wants.
“I like Zidane and he likes my brother – everyone knows it.”
United legend Gary Neville also recently spoke about Pogba’s future and said it is clear that the midfield maestro “wants to leave” Old Trafford.
The Frenchman’s controversial agent Mino Raiola reiterated Pogba’s transfer stance in July when he said: “Everyone knows the willingness of Paul to move on. We are in the process of that. Everyone knows what the feelings of Paul are.”
Neville was less than impressed with those comments and urged United to stop dealing with his “disgrace” of an agent.
He told Norwegian media outlet TV2 : “He wants to leave. He has made it clear.
“His agent is a disgrace and has been a disgrace all over Europe – not just for Manchester United . They must stop working with him.”
