Petrol Tanker Flames On Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

A truck fully loaded with Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) also known as petrol on Wednesday went up in flames at the Kwyakyama axis, after Ogere toll gate, on Lagos-Ibadan expressway, the Ogun state portion.
Raidar News reports that the truck parked at the scene of the explosion mysteriously went up in flame without no legit cause.
The incident that was reported to have occurred on the busy Lagos-Ibadan expressway necessitated a slight diversion in the area.
While confirming the incident, the spokesman of the Ogun state State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement (TRACE) corps, Babatunde Akinbiyi said there is a diversion of traffic inbound Ibadan into Iperu town, en route Saapade to Ibadan.
He said that; “Rescue operations are ongoing by TRACE Corps, FRSC, Police and the Fire Service.”
Akinbiyi said no casualty has been recorded, adding that the cause of the explosion is still yet to be ascertained.
