Napoli forward Hirving Lozano has revealed Cristiano Ronaldo congratulated him after his strike against Juventus – and welcomed the Mexican to Italy.
Lozano scored to cut the deficit to 3-2 after Ronaldo had put the Bianconeri 3-0 up in the Serie A clash.
Giovanni Di Lorenzo’s strike levelled proceedings in Turin before a Kalidou Koulibaly own goal in stoppage time gave all three points to Juve.
Lozano moved to Napoli for £37.6million in the summer from PSV, becoming the club’s record signing.
He came off the bench against Juve for his debut and found the net to have an instant impact for his new club.
And Lozano, who has previously been linked with Manchester United , has lifted the lid on what Ronaldo told him after the game.
“After their last goal, he approached me and congratulated me,” he told TUDN . “He welcomed me to Italy.
“It was something very nice, he is a spectacular player, out of this world. It was something very nice.
“I really enjoyed the game because the team played very well and also for playing against great players, not only Cristiano.”
